Savings and Successes – 2016 in a Nutshell

As we look forward to an exciting and fruitful 2017 at Business Cost Consultants, we would like to recognise the strengths and successes which have lead us to this fortunate position at the beginning of a prosperous new year.

Investment in new technology

We believe in investing in our work in order to provide a more efficient and successful outcome in our client. Whether this is investment in our people, our skills, or our hardware and software, we believe it’s an ongoing process which we must continually consider to remain at the top of our game, offering the best service possible to our clients.

This is why we decided to invest in new bespoke database software in 2016. Although we did not launch the software until September, we had been diligently working on the system since the beginning of the year to ensure it met the needs of both BCC and our clients.

The finalised system, named Phoenix, has revolutionised the way we manage our client portfolios, and allows us to deliver more tailored reporting among many other benefits. Phoenix not only allows us to monitor client accounts more effectively, it means we are more accountable to clients and can now easily spot better opportunities for each individual client.

Expanding our range of services

Another big change Business Cost Consultants made in 2016 was the introduction of a number of new cost-saving services. Where we previously focused mainly on utilities and telecoms, we now offer a range of additional cost-saving opportunities across areas such as office supplies, janitorial services, social media marketing and much more. Big client wins

Business Cost Consultants pride ourselves on our great client relationships and levels of customer service. For this reason we have the opportunity to enjoy ongoing successes with our client base. However, in 2016 we were also fortunate enough to add some more great clients to our roster.

These include DC  Thomson, one of the UK’s largest media organisations. As a large organisation with multiple sites, we were delighted to fend off competition from eight other utility managment companies to secure this contract. This contract provides ongoing cost-savings for the DC Thomson group, and we are on track to have saved the group over £400K in total. Read more about our DC Thomson project here.

As we start the new year, we would like to take the opportunity to thank all our clients and wish each of you another year of successful savings with BCC.
