Trainee Analyst for Business Cost Consultants [vacancy filled]
(Full time position, based in Bearsden, near train station)

Business Cost Consultants manage utility services for a range of clients throughout the UK. We strive to provide first class service to our clients. Our team of consultants, analysts and client advisors are friendly, hard working and enjoy achieving success.
Due to expansion, a position has become available in our Analyst team. The role will be varied, interesting and challenging. Duties will include:-
- checking utility bills for errors;
- recording utility consumption data in spreadsheets;
- analysing consumption & pricing data;
- analysing telecoms data;
- analysing supplier quotations;
- identifying savings for clients;
- arranging changes of utility suppliers & tariffs;
- database management;
- generally assisting the Consultants team;
- generally dealing with clients & suppliers by telephone and email.
We seek an enthusiastic, conscientious individual with the following attributes:-
- strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- strong numerical skills;
- polite telephone manner;
- good attention to detail;
- good team player;
- keen to learn & progress.
Full training will be provided. There will be incentives offered for working hard and contributing to the success of the company, including possible prospects for advancement. The position may particularly appeal to school leavers or ex-students.

Graduate Trainee — Utility and Telecoms Consultant [vacancy filled]
One of Scotland's leading Utility and Telecoms Consultancies, based near Glasgow, is actively seeking a graduate with strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills. Ideally, the candidate will have 1-3 years experience in an analyst or technical customer services position and should be able to demonstrate negotiation skills. An understanding of the energy, water and/or telecoms markets would be useful, but full training in this area will be provided to the successful candidate.
In this varied and challenging role you will be working closely with senior consultants and our client support team, providing reports to our clients throughout the UK. You will be given responsibility for analysing data, writing reports, negotiating with suppliers and making recommendations on major buying decisions to our clients, generally at Director level.
Our clients include Rangers and Celtic Football Clubs, large manufacturers, services companies, charities and educational institutions – a varied and interesting portfolio spanning many business sectors throughout the UK. With energy costs consistently in the news headlines, our energy auditing, procurement and cost management services are increasingly crucial to our clients.
