Kelvinside Academy is a leading independent school in the West of Scotland catering for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 18. The school comprises 3 stages: Junior Start, the Junior School and the Senior School.
Substantial water cost savings
We noticed that the size of the water meters being used on the school sites were inappropriate for the levels of water consumption. Having worked out which meters would be suitable we replaced them, which will result in reduced annual costs to the client and also a substantial rebate from the supplier.
Following meter exchanges in May 2004 we hope to save Kelvinside Academy in the region of £6,000 per annum (a saving of around 30%). Additionally we have managed to backdate the new meter charges to November 2002, resulting in a rebate of over £7,500 for the client.
We are also currently assisting the client with a compensation claim for serious water leaks which should save them a large sum of money if successful.
