The energy industry will be one of the industries which is set to have regulations and red tape reduced in order to boost activity, the Government has announced.
The Business Secretary, Sajid Javid, announced that the energy, waste, mining, agriculture, and care sector will benefit from the £10bn savings that will be generated from the move.
“I am determined to take the brakes off British businesses and set them free from heavy-handed regulators,” said Javid. “The Government’s pledge to cut £10bn in red tape over the course of this parliament will help create more jobs for working people, boost productivity and keep our economy growing.”
Businesses in these sectors can inform the government of their views through the Cutting the Red Tape website.
