Case Studies

We were commissioned to manage and implement a significant ICT support contract on behalf of The Penrose Inquiry. The client was looking to source a technology company which had delivered contracts with multiple support streams and could prove its capabilities in managing several third party contractors in order to successfully deliver an overall solution.

Strategy

Specifically, we were approached to design, build, test, implement, support and decommission the following:

  • Server and storage infrastructure.
  • Networks (wired & wireless & public & press & private).
  • Disaster recovery services.
  • Fully managed support services.
  • Standard operating environment: desktop & printing.
  • Audio visual equipment.

We took full ownership of this multi-stream support project. In this case, commencement of work was time critical and support was provided for a fixed time period prior to decommissioning. The project required extensive project management across partners, suppliers and stakeholders.

The Results

All systems were designed in a fully fault tolerant configuration to prevent any system downtime during hearings and this was achieved with a 100% success rate.

Our SLA (Engineer call out, 4 hours from call to fix) was delivered with a 100% success rate.

Fully managed server checks and backups of all data were also achieved with a 100% success rate.

The Penrose Inquiry was initially scheduled to operate for an 18 month period. However, we were pleased to demonstrate our contractual flexibility by supporting the extension of operation on a month to month basis, continuing such support as was required, up to and including de-commissioning.
