Sco-Fro Foods Group benefit from effective and valuable utility management


Sco-Fro is a privately owned business which was established in 1975 by Stanley Bernard, its Chairman and Chief Executive. The business is a leading player in the processing and sales of foodstuffs. The group has four sites including two processing plants, head office and a technical centre.


Sco-Fro Foods appointed Business Cost Consultants (BCC) to oversee the management of all utilities and identify areas for savings.


BCC’s team monitored costs, consumption patterns, call profiles, tariffs and discount plans on behalf of Sco-Fro Foods. This included resolving billing errors with suppliers and arranging appropriate credits and refunds.

BCC provided a comprehensive report to the client detailing unusual costs, billing errors, energy profiles, telephone call analysis and costs forecasts to assist with budgeting.


As well as considerably reducing administration time and hassle for Sco-Fro Foods, BCC saved Sco-Fro Foods over £24,000 from billing overcharges and through careful management of supplies. These savings were from initial investigation. BCC continue to work with the client to make further savings on an annual basis on all utilities.
