Lomond School appoints BCC to manage installation of new utility supplies
Lomond School is a unique educational organisation in the west of Scotland. It caters for both day and boarding pupils alike. Its roll includes male and female pupils from the ages of 3-18. Consistently ranked academically amongst the top ten schools in Scotland it is nevertheless non-selective in its intake and achieves its remarkably consistent results due to the quality of its provision both within and out-with the classroom.
In 2009 Lomond School intended to open its new Sports Hall facility, around a mile from the schools main building. An ambitious project, it was built to harness the school’s sporting potential across many activities. The equipment and general facilities within the hall are outstanding and will be a great asset to the pupils attending Lomond School.
As with any new building, the installation of utility supplies is of the utmost importance. Having to organise and manage the process of procuring then installing new utility supplies can place added stress on an already complex situation. When completing a project of this size there are many different issues to be ironed out and so Lomond School appointed Business Cost Consultants (BCC) to help manage utilities.
From arranging the technical specifications of the site to offering independent advice on which supplier to award the contracts to, BCC’s team managed the process on behalf of Lomond School. This allowed them to devote more time to other areas with regards to their new facility. They could be safe in the knowledge that the utility side of the project were in trusted hands.
BCC removed the time and hassle involved in setting up new utility and ironed out any issues ensuring smooth transitions and the minimum amount of stress possible to Lomond School.
“We have been in partnership with BCC for a number of years. They have fully managed our utility supplies and I am confident that we have received the best available prices over this time. Their expert advice on energy efficiency has been particularly helpful and they are always willing to work with the school on projects which will drive down costs and help to reduce our carbon footprint.”
